It's the dawn of a beautiful new resort for Canmore

There's a team of creative folk here in sunny Canmore, Alberta who think that SolaraLife is something quite different and unique.

We're the only monthly on-line visitor magazine for the Canadian Rockies, and we're the only spot you'll find a comprehensive events calendar featuring important dates in both Banff and Canmore. And, of course, we do our best to offer a magazine that gives a full spectrum view of this amazing corner of the world. We set out a few months ago to put together a package that represents the incredible diversity of experience available to our visitors — along with a healthy dose of the "insider's view" on the very best we have to offer.

The team behind SolaraLife is passionate about this magical place we call home — and we extend that passion through a sincerely warm welcome to our visitors the world over.

This month SolaraLife and K2 Developments is pleased to announce the Canadian launch of a beautiful new resort for the Canadian Rockies — Solara Canmore.

While many of our readers are aware of the exciting plans we've had brewing for many months now, the word is now out in Alberta about a resort in Canmore whose time has come. Solara Canmore will bring a new level of luxury to the Canadian Rockies in its beautiful suite accommodations and in a long list of fine amenities.

Imagine a gorgeous European spa nestled in the heart of Canmore, a huge KidsZone where creative play takes on new dimensions, a 100-seat theatre for film screenings, presentations and performances, an AquaZone that will reintroduce you to the therapeutic beauty of water, a fitness centre with a focus on your best performance in all manner of recreational pursuits, a delectable restaurant, an opulent clubhouse…. the list goes on.

Solara Canmore will open in 2005, and will offer a truly unique mountain resort experience. We're expecting our Seasonal Ownership offering of a limited to number of vacation suites to sell out quickly — there's simply nothing like this resort currently available.

I've just returned from a relaxing few weeks on a beach on a Caribbean island, where I had ample time to think about all the blessings of life back home in Canmore.

While beautiful beaches and sunny days are the obvious attraction for holidays like the one I just enjoyed, there is no mystery to why the Canadian Rockies remain a top destination and beloved retreat for people all over the world.

After a couple days of catch up at home and work, I could hardly wait to get outside for some deep, purifying breaths of mountain air. I was buzzing with energy in a way no beach could inspire, as I headed out on a mountain trail just steps from my home. An easy climb through the forest soon opened up to a view of the afternoon sun sparkling off the Three Sisters Mountains. A small red and yellow bird I'd never seen before flitted lazily overhead as chipmunks chattered their indignance at the intrusion.

This is home for the team behind Solara Canmore, and we have every intention of sharing its endless beauty with you for years to come.
